Bobbi served as our Lead Facilitator at our Spring Key Leader Event in April 2010. Key Leader is a Kiwanis sponsored weekend designed to provide a life changing experience that inspires high school students to achieve their personal best through Service Leadership. As a Site Coordinator for the Indiana District of Kiwanis for 3 years, this was the 5th KL event that I had attended. Each event is lead by a different professional Lead Facilitator. When I discovered this was Bobbi's FIRST Key Leader event, I have to admit that I was a little concerned, since the previous events I attended had Lead Facilitators who had led numerous KL weekends. Kiwanis provides a very specific curriculum with 5 Key Principles and a multitude of learning objectives to cover, in a very limited amount of time. Even experienced Lead Facilitators had sometimes struggled to cover all the material without being rushed and skipping some steps.
 
To my pleasant surprise, Bobbi was so prepared and professional that I would have thought this was at least her 4th or 5th Key Leader event. Bobbi not only covered the material thoroughly, she made it come to life for the kids. She did an exceptional job of weaving stories from her own personal experience as real life illustrations, and showing them how the concepts could have an impact on their own lives. I was so impressed with Bobbi and the positive, energizing influence that she had on our 80 participants that I bought her book, "Travels of the Heart, Developing Your Inner Leader.” After reading her book, I ordered 10 copies to give as gifts to our 10 Student Facilitators at our Fall Event so they could learn more from her insights on what makes true leaders.”
